A fifth generation Montanan and U of M grad with 22 years of financial management and leadership experience, Brett isn't just a numbers guy — he's a builder. He co-founded Ravenwood Outdoor Learning Center in 2002 and served as its Executive Director from 2008–2024, managing its finances, fundraising, and budgeting firsthand.

Phase One
Discovery & Cleanup
Billed as a retainer plus hourly work
We start with a free exploration call to understand your business, I then propose a retainer-based engagement for initial setup and any cleanup work required. Hourly billing covers anything beyond the retainer scope and you are notified of that threshold so you're never surprised.
Phase Two
Ongoing Monthly Bookkeeping
Billed at a flat monthly rate
Once your books are current and your systems are dialed in, I evaluate the volume and complexity of your overall service needs and generate a flat-rate monthly package so your costs are predictable every month going forward. My current flat rate minimum is $250.00.

How quickly can you onboard a new client?+
Most clients are fully set up within 7-10 business days once all required information is provided.
Do I need QuickBooks Online?+
I'm a Gold Level QuickBooks ProAdvisor and work exclusively in QuickBooks Online — if I create the account, you're eligible for a 30% ongoing discount on your QBO subscription through my ProAdvisor account.
Will you work with my CPA at tax time?+
Absolutely. Year-end coordination with your CPA is included in every engagement. I hand them a clean trial balance, reconciled accounts, and answers to any open questions.
What if my books are a mess?+
That's where we shine. Cleanup is a one-time engagement priced separately, and most cleanups take 2-8 weeks before we move you into a monthly package.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. My agreements are month-to-month with 30 days notice. I earn your trust every month — never lock you in.
